Overcast

 Once a teardrop falls

We may wipe it from our cheek

 But it can never retreat.

For every one that trickles down

 On the outside

 Two reside

 Within

 As shadow and memory...

             One the weight of experience

The other the substance of insight.

If there are no shadows on a cloudy day

Please will someone explain the inner shadow

  Of an overcast heart?
