Beyond Touch

If I could capture

All of what you are

In words

These words

Would take up too much space...

They would get in the way of discovery-

The revelation of the next smile;

Your head tilted ever so slightly

In acknowledgement;

The soft line of your cheek

As you sleep unaware

That you have touched me

In a way that hands cannot measure...

Out of touch.
