- First Marking Period
- Students will be tracing the history and origins of US government
- Second Marking Period
- Students will be studying the Constitution
- Third Marking Period
- Students will be studying criminal and civil law
- Fourth Marking Period
- Students will be studying economics
Special Note:
Although I believe that Federal control of education is UNCONSTITUTIONAL, you will find that my course meets and exceeds the National Standards for Civics & Government. These standards were NOT the guiding force in the creation of the curriculum. There just happens to be remarkable agreement. If you really want to know more about this issue, start by reading the Constitution. You might be astonished at the liberties our government has taken with our Social Contract!(By the way...you can read this last sentence in more than one way).
